Our services
Moving Forward provides the Case Management services needed to integrate all other services, whether provided by Moving Forward or a specialist or agency outside our program.
-
Individualized plan
A resident’s goal plan starts with the resident’s goals and adds the milestones and steps the resident and their team will need to take to move towards the goals.
The program staff implements the plan on a daily basis, as learning is a layered process.
Progress against the plan's goals is a cause for congratulations. Success at some goals will lead to more independence for the resident.
-
Employment services
For residents who want to work, our person center employment services begin with prevocational skill development while volunteering, and attending classes on skills for job readiness. The resident will learn soft skills related to jobs, such as being on time, being well-groomed, and customer service skills when addressing customers and colleagues.
Once hired, a resident will receive job coaching and support to succeed in their job.
Moving Forward works with many local employers.

The Family Association
The Family Association (FA) meets regularly throughout the year, both online and in-person when appropriate.
Families attend meetings to learn about the current state of the program. They meet other families with similar concerns and share their experiences. Families post helpful information for other families and turn to other families with questions.
Family members volunteer their experience to help the program and the Board of Directors.
The FA is open to all family members of residents. We try to connect new families to answer questions and provide helpful support.
